When I realized I wanted to make an album, I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to have an instrumental track with me playing the melody on a Trumpet. It was to change keys at least once, have a cool multi-part vocal harmony, and would be the end of the first half of the record (if this were on a vinyl record that is). Though I didn't get to do the harmonies (Couldn't find a place where they'd fit, will still use it in another song in the future!), I made up for it with ANOTHER key change! This and "Writing a Song (So Long)" are the only two I wrote WHILE I was recording the songs. With every new instrument I was coming up with different parts of the song as I went, without a plan for how it was supposed to sound. I think this song came out great and I've been told by lots of people that it sounds like video game music which I love because they're right! I listened to a lot of video game music in middle school so I think it's only fitting that it unintentionally inspired me.
