Writing a Song
Written by: Martin Samuel Wells III
I’m writing a song; it won’t be very long.
I’m singing a song; it won’t be very long, so long.
When I’ve got nothing to do, I’ll sing a little number for you.
I got nothing in the world to do but sing a number for you!
Singing a song; it won’t be very long,
And I’m gone

I Don’t Want to Leave
Written By: Martin Samuel Wells III
Hold on tight, cause we’re going out for a ride while we still have some time.
Just passing by, it won’t be long till we arrive at the end of our lives.
Oh no, the sun goes down to darkness
Oh no, we’re drifting off to sea
Oh no, we’re falling out the bottom
And I don’t want to leave, no I don’t want to leave.
Oh no, the sun goes down to darkness
Oh no, we’re drifting off to sea
Oh no, we’re falling out the bottom
And I don’t want to leave, no I don’t want to leave.
Oh no, we can’t see where we’re going
Oh no, we can’t see what’s ahead
Oh no, we cannot know the future but it’s filling up my head.
Can I stay here instead, No!
We’re drifting off to see oh no, no,
I don’t want to leave.

Anna
Written by: Martin Samuel Wells III
I hope that you don’t mind, that I
Take some of your time, cause I
Gotta tell you what is on my mind.
Now that I’ve caught your ear, listen close
You’ll want to hear, what I say
I just want you to know one thing.
Anna, you’re the one for me, it’s plain to see.
Please don’t walk away, I’ll do anything.
Cause Anna, you’re the only thing I want or need
And so just know, Anna, you’re my everything.

Mine
Written by: Martin Samuel Wells III
Turn around, don’t face the wall.
Say what you mean, you can’t hurt me at all.
Whatever you say I will understand,
Cause I will love you till the end.
You don’t mean that; I know you’re just being nice.
No one’s ever told me that before tonight.
I’m so sorry I distract you from your day
But, what can I say?
Hey, I adore you and I do appreciate
All the compliments and sentiments you gave.
But now I’m stuck here trying to communicate,
Thinking of that special day.
I’m sitting here on my own,
I feel so alone,
Trying to call away so I can get home.
I’m thinking of you baby, won’t you agree
That it would be so fun if you’d come sit here with me.
I’m biting my tongue and I’m holding my breath,
Cause I can’t imagine what you’re gonna do next.
But at the end of the day, my heart is hard to explain,
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.
Are you speaking from the heart?
Cause all that matters is you’re true right from the start.
I know you’re scared and I’m a little nervous too,
But I know we’ll make it through.
I love that I can see you every single day,
And I dread the one that you will walk away.
But I know you won’t hurt me so I’m not afraid.
That’s not all I have to say.
Now I really do enjoy your company,
But make your mind up and come back for me.
I’ll be waiting here, I will not go away
Cause I wanna hear everything you have to say.
But at the end of the day, my heart is hard to explain,
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.
Oh, all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.

On Your Own
Written By: Martin Samuel Wells III
You open your eyes
And begin to realize
The one you love’s already gone and passed you by
When you start to cry
All those tears in your eyes
Won’t wash away
They’re here to stay with you for life
You better run away
And find a way back to him
You know you can’t stay
Don’t let him slip away
Oh, you don’t want to be all on your own
Now, you’re at the door
You don’t know what’s in store
You can’t be mad
You know he loves you and that’s a fact
Or so it seemed
What does it all mean?
He’s got a baby now and he don’t wanna speak
You better run away
You don’t know what to say back to him
You don’t believe it’s true
How could this happen to you?
Oh, you don’t want to be all on your own
And then you try to turn him around
Oh, but he don’t wanna listen to you now
(You left him waiting for so long)
So long, he’s already moved on with his life
You’re going home
You missed your chance
You’re on your own
You’re going home

Trying to Save The Day
Written By: Martin Samuel Wells III
You try to tell me that I’m wrong and must improve,
Then you expect me just to know what I’m supposed to do.
I’m getting tired of the noise,
Just let me hear it from a human’s voice.
The Indefatigable controller of what is true.
Try and hear me out, maybe just reading headlines is not what it’s about.
The only thing you’re getting is misinformed.
We’re in a civil war, and I bet you can’t tell me what you’re even fighting for,
The shepherds like their sheep under control. Oh,
But you won’t rock and roll me away
Cause I am right here to stand on my
Own two feet while you’re floating away
I’m holding my hand out, I’m trying to save the day.
While times are changing people’s brains are moving fast.
To read the truth you’re gonna have to use a looking glass.
We may be running out of time,
So can you people just make up your minds?
It may not be worth the pain in vein of simply being right.
Be careful what you say, a jail fine may not be the only price you pay.
Big Brother’s watching so never look away.
I don’t know what to say
except “think for yourself, anticipate,
they’re lying to your face.”
I think there’s still some time
To start using your mind before
They kill the heart,
and take your right to fight away.
But you won’t rock and roll me away
Cause I am right here to stand on my
Own two feet while you’re floating away
I’m holding my hand out, I’m trying to save the day.
Trying to save the day
Trying to save the day
I’m holding my hand out

Million More Days
Written by: Martin Samuel Wells III
My world is feeling empty,
The birds have flown away.
Motivation’s gone for now,
The sky is turning grey.
I’m waiting at the window,
Leaning on the pane,
Yearning for your return
So you can tell me everything.
There is not a limit to the days that I will wait for you.
But I really miss you, and I just wanna see your face.
And I know every day my love for you will grow,
Cause I will wait a million more days
For you.
I know it won’t be long now,
I’m counting off the days.
The days will turn to hours,
And my heart will fly out into space.
Then when the time has come
To be with you again
I can’t help but see myself
Doing it again.
There is not a limit to the days that I will wait for you.
But I really miss you, and I just wanna see your face.
And I know every day my love for you will grow,
Cause I will wait a million more days...
And I really miss you, and I just wanna see your face.
And I know every day my love for you will grow,
Cause I will wait a million more days...
Oh, I will wait a million more days
For you.
A million more days
For you.

Does It Make You Feel Lonely?
Written By: Martin Samuel Wells III
Does it make you feel lonely?
Does it make you feel sad?
If it don’t make you wanna run away,
Does it really hurt that bad?
I don’t mind the time that’s flying by before my eyes.
Don’t need to be reminded of before I said goodbye.
So, try to realize it’s almost suicide.
Does it make you feel lonely?
Does it make you feel sad?
If it don’t make you wanna run away,
Does it really hurt that bad?
Does it make you feel lonely?
Does it make you feel sad?
If it don’t make you wanna run away,
Does it really hurt that bad?
Look at yourself and what you’ve done, what makes you think you’re being cool?
I thought I played my part but now it seems like I’m the fool.
I know what’s right, I know what’s wrong, I’m not your tool.
As you know, I’ve already said it’s over.
Does that mean anything to you?
Does it make you feel lonely?
Does it make you feel sad?
If it don’t make you wanna run away,
Does it really hurt that bad?
Does it make you feel lonely?
Does it make you feel sad?
If it don’t make you wanna run away,
Does it really hurt that bad?
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Does it make you feel lonely baby?
Does it make you feel lonely baby?
Does it make you feel lonely?

Pen Pal
Written By: Martin Samuel Wells III
I just wanna hear that you’re doing fine
It’s been a while, and people don’t write letters anymore
I just hope you haven’t moved or changed your name
I know you planned to move to France and holiday in Spain
But now, things have changed
Oh, I hope you met that pretty girl whose mother knows your name
And now, time has gone
Oh, I wonder why it had to slip away
I don’t know if you will ever write me back
Well, I hope you do so we can talk and reminisce the past
And find what went missing many years ago
The snow was falling hard as I left waiting for “Hello”
But now, things have changed
Oh, I hope you taught the world to laugh and sought your claim to fame
And now, where did it go?
Oh, I wonder how the time just slips away
I just wanna hear that you’re doing fine
See, it’s been a while since your last reply
I hope you’re still alright

Take whatever you can find,
Soon you will be running out of time,
Please don’t tell me what you think of this
Cause I don’t want to know.
The rain is coming, and you know it too,
I can see it when I look at you,
It won’t be long now friend,
You better brace for impact while you can.
Oh, I’m not trying to hurt you,
I don’t want to see you cry no more.
I’m starting to think that it’s a lost cause now,
I have no chance if you insist on loving him.
Strangers watching by the day,
They all see just what I’m trying to say,
That’s not how you treat a lady,
That’s not how to be a man.
I know why you just don’t leave;
He has always been your everything.
Well he wants to leave you now,
but his phobia of loneliness objects.
No, I don’t want to hurt you,
So, I’ll leave you two alone.
I can tell you think you love him so,
And now I know why your heart won’t come to me.
So, life was not the way you thought it’d be.
If only you’d at least chose me.
