This one is rather personal to me so I made it my mission to make it perfect, or rather, as perfect as my limited playing and singing ability would allow. Out of all the songs I've recorded, this is the one I've recorded the most. Not only with alternate versions, I have over an hours worth of audio somewhere of me playing the guitar and singing this song just trying to make it sound like how I hear it in my head. I never got it to sound perfect but at some point you just have to say you're done and move on or you'll never finish anything. This is another one I'd rerecord if given the chance.
I wanted to add my synth to at least one song on this record after I used it on "Atascosita Lane" (Watchable on my YouTube Channel) so I put it on this one when I went to redo it for the thousandth time. I will make a note to use that more often in my songs.

Mine
Written by: Martin Samuel Wells III
Turn around, don’t face the wall.
Say what you mean, you can’t hurt me at all.
Whatever you say I will understand,
Cause I will love you till the end.
You don’t mean that; I know you’re just being nice.
No one’s ever told me that before tonight.
I’m so sorry I distract you from your day
But, what can I say?
Hey, I adore you and I do appreciate
All the compliments and sentiments you gave.
But now I’m stuck here trying to communicate,
Thinking of that special day.
I’m sitting here on my own,
I feel so alone,
Trying to call away so I can get home.
I’m thinking of you baby, won’t you agree
That it would be so fun if you’d come sit here with me.
I’m biting my tongue and I’m holding my breath,
Cause I can’t imagine what you’re gonna do next.
But at the end of the day, my heart is hard to explain,
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.
Are you speaking from the heart?
Cause all that matters is you’re true right from the start.
I know you’re scared and I’m a little nervous too,
But I know we’ll make it through.
I love that I can see you every single day,
And I dread the one that you will walk away.
But I know you won’t hurt me so I’m not afraid.
That’s not all I have to say.
Now I really do enjoy your company,
But make your mind up and come back for me.
I’ll be waiting here, I will not go away
Cause I wanna hear everything you have to say.
But at the end of the day, my heart is hard to explain,
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine
And all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.
Oh, all I can say is I hope that someday you’ll be mine.
